Cellular Containment Structures
Stabilised Gravel Paving combines purpose designed modular reinforcement cells with the natural appearance, strength, security and free draining characteristics of a loose aggregate surface.  Panels are designed to be buried below a gravel surface where the modular containment structure prevents sinking, rutting or migration of the aggregate dressing.  This ensures that surfaces are suitable and comfortable for pedestrians, wheelchairs and vehicle use. The inherent compressive strength of the filled Cells enables occasional access for heavier emergency and utility vehicles.

The Cellgravel systems are free draining, minimising demand on surface drainage capacity and have the characteristics to work effectively with rainwater harvesting arrangements.

New laws that are in place where hardstandings over 5 sqm require planning permission and also proper drainage systems.

Where gravel on its own has its problems like sinking, migrating and forming potholes but combined with the cellular system makes for a good looking, user friendly, natural alternative which holds the gravel surface together providing a surface that can hold a maximum load bearing capacity of 350 tons sqm.

Additional parking can be achieved by replacing front lawn or garden areas to give extra parking for the family using our gravel or grass-grid systems or our grass protection meshes that just lay over the top of grass areas which just need pegged down  giving an alternative option for installing additional and temporary  parking spaces.  The sub base for the parking area of the grid system is installed to the same standard as a block paved driveway and the grid system can then be filled with gravel or soil and sown with grass seed to retain the look of a garden.
